Olive oil is a staple of the Mediterranean area, and has been used to make the best soap in the world for hundreds of years. So what is special about olive oil? Olive oil soap is rich in vitamins A and E as well as antioxidants, which are nourishing and rejuvenating to the skin. Olive oil is made up of a good balance of fatty acids (oleic acid, plamitic acid, linolic acid, and stearic acid) that gives it its moisturizing and silky lather, making it a fantastic cleanser that is gentle on the skin .

Because we can build a great soap bar from olive oil, we don’t need any of the harmful chemicals found in most commercial soaps on the market. No more parabens or sulfates, benzoates or phthalates, or any of the chemicals that are both hard to pronounce and harsh on the skin. No more unknown, unnatural, elements applied daily on your skin. We can have a superior soap with only the required ingredients, all sourced from nature.

That is the main reason why we at Olively use olive oil as a base to all our soaps. The olive oil tree itself lives for hundreds of years. When we use olive oil for our soaps, we are using a non-destructively sourced oil. This is why we never use palm oil in our soaps as well, because we want to take care of the environment while we take care of your skin. For our scented soaps, we only use natural oils such as jasmine, gardenia, blackseed, and so on. We only use what is needed, and nothing more, because we want to create soap that you can feel comfortable using on a daily basis with peace of mind.
